H&R Single barrel slip on recoil pad.

Anyone know offhand what size slip on pad the single barrel H&R and NEF shot guns take. I'm giving my old shotgun a make over. This was my first gun, my Dad gave it to me when I was 10. I wonder if I can buy the screw on recoil pads like some of the newer ones come with from the factory. Thanks for the help guys.

My old H&R single shot has a hard plastic butt plate but no recoil pad. Just measure your butt and get a grind to fit recoil pad.

Thats what I'm thinking I'm going to have to do. My dad had a Uncle Mikes slip on recoil pad on there, but it was too big and didn't fit well at all. That or take the butt stock off and venture to walmart and see what fits best

Or measure it, go online, and get the proper pad for your gun....

Walmart won't have much. Do you have a Sportsmans Warehouse or Gander near you?

Sportsmans has a great selection of recoil pads Gander had a few. I was in both yesterday. They both had the Limbsaver brand

Slip ons come in sizes....like shoes. Measure the length and width of the h&r that you have and buy accordingly.
Galco, Limbsaver, HiViz make quite serviceable pads in a variety of size.

An easier way to get the correct measurement is if you have a buttpad or plate on the back of the stock take that to the store with you.

You could also trace it.

I have a Pachmayr Decelerator slip-on on my winchester and it comes in S-M-L. There's probably a way to look up what should fit on your gun.

Found the one. If anyone is wondering the Limbsaver slip on recoil pad, small/medium size fits the H&R wood stocked Topper Models like a glove. Like it was made for this gun.
