Gun sites deleted

I'm livid! Gun related sites on netbabbler.com have been deleted wholesale! I frequent the CZ-52 discussion forum over there only to discover tonight that it has been deleted for the following reason(s):
<BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial">quote:</font><HR>Sorry...
This Netbabbler forum has been disabled due to a breach of the Netbabbler User Agreement
by the owner of this forum.

Reason
Firearm related content not supported.

Netbabbler does not allow forums that contain or contain links to nudity, sex, pornography,
illegal activities, unauthorized use or distribution of copyrighted material(s) (including
"warez" boards), mail fraud and pyramid schemes, hatred and racism of any kind, or any
other material that may be deemed libelous or offensive to another individual or
organization.
Funny, but guns don't fit into any of the categories listed there or in their agreement form.

Please contact these a-holes at support@netbabbler.com and give them a piece of your mind. This is what I wrote:

<BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial">quote:</font><HR>It is obvious that "Clara" has manufactured the descriptions of the
listed forums to cast them in a most unfavorable light.

Your agreement does not list "guns" as a prohibited item and therefore
cannot arbitrarily delete them as a prohibited subject.
I suggest you reinstate all gun forums immediately or risk legal action.

I too will email your advertisers as well as the ACLU regarding this
issue.

You have been warned.
Destructo6,

Thanks for letting the people over here know about this.

My Second Amendment Message Board has now been targeted by the antigun troll Clara. She has posted my board's addy on the Netbabbler support forum. When she says jump, Netbabbler says how high. I'm sure that it won't be too long before we cannot even talk about the Second Amendment on Netbabbler boards.

This little troll Clara surfs the progun boards posting pornography and inciting violence under assumed names and then she reports them to the servers to get them banned. He or she is very cunning and has Netbabbler jumping through hoops because one of the advertisers pulled out due to her lies and character assassinations.

Please keep a look out for her on other BB servers. She has tasted blood and is hungry for more! Actually there must be a group of these troublemakers.

Netbabbler's current advertisers email addy is: info@adforce.com

Please contact these a-holes at support@netbabbler.com and give them a piece of your mind.

The appropriate action is to find out exactly who this woman is. Do a trace!

Then confront her directly.

Let's put a stop to this activity. If there's a significant fee involved, then I'm sure that everyone here would be happy to contribute.

Once she's caught, then let's let every form of media know about it. Let people know that they can't shut down boards this way.

Tortuga,

Yes, you may be right, but like I said she is very cunning. She uses some sort of anonymiser and routes her posts through different places each time. I think she may have slipped up and left her correct ISP number once though. If I could get it for you, what could we do?

Update: This is to the best of my knowledge Clara's ISP number 204.131.222.253

I got this info about her from Bower's general board...

Thanks for the info on the server: Their eyes and ears should be burning about now. Sent them a politically correct notice.

Joe..

If indeed that is Clara's IP#...
Send a letter to the law firm (including the actual post, the pertinent server logs, any and all documentation showing that someone from that particular IP did the specific action). Inform them that there is some evidence of abuse from their server and to please investigate. Also send a copy to your server, to Netbabbler and to The ISP the law firm is with asking them to investigate as well. The heat will be on the parent IP Clara's law firm IP and then Clara.

You may also want to track the time of day she does her work. If she is doing it on business hours, the firm may want to know about it. Theft of time is the same as theft of goods. She could be criminaly liable. Not likely, but possible.

Well, I would love to help out by calling, sending e-mail, snail-mail or whatever to whoever, but I don't understand what to do with all those numbers/url/servers.domainstuff, etc.

Maybe nralife or someone could spell it out real simply and tell us what address to use to send e-mail, snail-mail, etc. I'd really like to see this cowardly sack of s**t get what's coming.

If you are CERTAIN that someone is using a company computer to access web sites, for whatever reason, and want that use stopped, you don't need to make a big problem. Just drop a line to the company, saying that you are sure they are unaware that one of their employees is using company equipment and office time to spread hatred on the net about minority groups (aren't we?). Things should come to a screeching halt directly.

Be careful of your wording here. The above mentioned firm amy not be the origin. It is possible to "skip" your packets by "bouncing" them off of an unprotected host. The source address then becomes the unwitting host. I would suggest using great tact, such as "Can you help provide information to us about the source of certain messages." If they have an internal problem, let them handle it. If they are being used unwittingly get them in it on our side

Do a a traceroute from a unix console or any box with gnu utilities. People generally either have an octet of IP addresses, or use a DHCP lease on a set of IP addresses (from an ISP or corporate proxy server) to get connected. Either way, you can narrow down the user to a set of IPs, and check the port that they are dailing in on, or the proxy server they came from. Either way its not too tuff. I caught a guy from Mali in our network last year with a traceroute that had bounced off of ten servers with telnet before getting to my trojan firewall.
