The owner of my favorite gun store, Steve Brown of the Gun Shack in Mt. Airy, MD, is retiring and turning over ownership and day-to-day operations to his son and stepdaughter. There is an article in our local gazette where the writer quotes a line from Peter Hamm, Communications Director of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence.
He says, "Law-abiding citizens should have the right to have a gun for self-protection, but everyone should be extremely careful with them. If you have a gun in the house, you are 12 to 20 times more likely to be a victim."
This guy goes from pro-gun to criticizing gun owners. Victims of what?
Any way, it is a nice story on the Gun Shack. I`ve known Steve Brown for 20+ years.
