Gun ranges in the Austin area

Im going to austin in a week or so and i am looking for a Public range to shoot skeet. I would like it to be closer to round rock or cedar park than austin proper. Price is another factor i wouldnt like to spend more than 5 dollars a round but it would be alright at that level.

I called Hank Fleming, who runs a gunsmithing shop in Austin to ask what he'd recommend.

He said the best place in his opinion was the Austin Skeet Range. It's on Highway 290, 3 miles east of the suburb of Mason.

Never been there, and don't shoot skeet. But Hank's a good guy, so take it for what it's worth.

Thank you that may be a little out of my way but if it is the best game in town i will have to check it out
