GSG 1911 22 lr upgrade package

I received a GSG 1911 pistol as a Christmas gift. Really fun to shoot. I’m curious as to whether or not I should spend $75 and upgrade the pistol with a full length stainless guiderod, bushing and spring. Supposedly accuracy and reliability are enhanced. Just wondering if anyone on this forum has any experience doing this?

I did the upgrade and groups got dramatically tighter. They started shooting a bit higher so I replaced the sights with a set of Dawesons.

It runs 100% and likes HV ammo the best. No jams but I do clean it about every 4 - 500 rounds.

I have a few thousand rounds through mine. It has been reliable and accurate bone stock. I see no need to make any changes personally but I am a cheapskate.
