Grip replacement on Sig 1911 Carry

My Sig 1911 Carry Nitron came with the Ergo XT grips and I want to replace them with some rosewood grips. When I tried to remove the lower screws, threaded bushings stayed attached to the screws so I couldn't separate the screws from the grips. I'm afraid to clamp the bushing with pliers and turning the screw for fear of damaging the threads on the bushing.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
