Greenspan and Bush

I heard that Greenspan was chummy with Clinton.
I also heard Bush grabbed Greenspan by the shoulders and forced him toward the cameras after a meeting and Greenspan resented it. Did that happen before or after Greenspan chose not to lower interest rates. I'm wondering if he did it to make Bush look bad.

Let's not chase this one. Oversimplified, if Greenspan lowers interest rates, foreign monies will begin leaving the U.S. If that happens, his "soft landing" for the coming recession will have the glide path of a brick. Greenspan has his own legacy to consider...

The grab looked desperate by Bush, but in reality it was Bush doing the all smiles photo-op deal and Greenspan ready to leave. Then Bush made a slip comment about how competent Greenspan was, and Greenspan started laughing.

Bush is still nervous and getting used to the limelight.
