Great Western or Charles Daly 1873

I'm tired of waiting for a New Vaquero SS. From what I'm been able to learn the demand is overwhelming, and production can't keep up with it.

So I called my dealer today, and asked for availability, and price on the EMF Great Western ll, nickle, 4 3/4" Brl., and the Charles Daly 1873, SS, 4 3/4"Brl.

At EMF the nickle finish is 4 to 5 weeks backordered, and the retail price is $595.00.

At Charles Daly the gun I want is in stock, and retails for $325.00.

I like the look of the Great Western better than the Charles Daly, but not $300.00 better. I've heard both of these are nice guns, but does anyone know why there is such a difference in the price???

you might ask the question over on sassnet.com
you should get a quick response.

for whatever it's worth at least you have a choice. In MA the Ruger is ONLY single action that can be sold

The CD reviews on sassnet.com are very favorable. I still like the looks of that nickle Grand Western, but for the price the CD will do fine... :)
