I have read some of the “what would be best for ...?” threads and it gave me an idea. I am getting ready to go on the safari of my dreams, a hunt for the rarest Grand Slam of the Northern Hemisphere. I’ll be trying to bag the following species: a space alien (any planet), a large dinosaur, a Bigfoot and a zombie (possibly a ghost or any of the semi-dead things). My question is which of my guns would be best for this hunt? I can take my mini 14 or my lever action 357. I don’t want to take my single shot 30-30 since I figure I’ll need the firepower, aliens travel in large groups I’ve heard. Also I’m worried the dinosaur might be too much to take on with a rifle. Can I use my 357 model 19 as backup or should I invest in a 1911? My funds are limited so don’t recommend anything too expensive. Any other recommendations on things like knives, footwear, game laws, or ammo would also be appreciated.
