Got Buck.........Finally

Yesterday was the first day of the PA firearms season. Hunting the highly pressured gamelands of SEPA i havent been able to score on a buck. Ive been hunting since 1992 but had a several year break in there. Scored on doe but never a buck. It wasnt the biggest as it was 2yr old 5pt. Shot was at 100yds using a Remington 700 in 300 WM. Load was a 180gr Sierra Gameking SPBT over 72grs of IMR 4831. Shot was a perfect lung shot. Traveled 20yds with a very easy to follow blood trail. I've been using Sierra Gamekings since my first doe and dont think I will be switching.

Funny you would think a 300 mag with a Gameking chambered would anchor most deer to the spot where it was shot. a~Yup!! Time for a new rifle Rob96. But_ Um. Willing to make a offer so's to take that old one off your hands.
