Well new to me, I bet you can't guess what it is!

I know that's not much of a hint but I'm pretty excited about the deal I got on the rifle. It came with the case, 148 rounds of ammunition, Nikon scope, CMMG SV muzzle brake and bi-pod. I'm not sure if I'm going to hang onto this one yet or not, but it's a cartridge I've been wanting to play with in something other than the single shot I have it in.

Can't guess? Here is a little hint!

First 3 shot group out of it was about 1/2 MOA but 6" to the left of center. I adjusted the scope and had it right on target and went to ringing steel. The reticle in the scope really isn't great for precise aiming as it pretty much covers up a 1" bullseye at 100 yards. But I had no problems ringing 4"X4" and smaller AR500 plates at 100 yards 120 grain ammo. The 220 grain subsonics were 16" low from the 120's but still center line of the target.

Here I'll give it to you.

Anyway I'm really pleased with it, but the brake will come off. I'm not fond of brakes, but I'll admit the rifle is pretty quiet even with the brake. With the 220's it wasn't much louder than what high veloicity .22 LR sounds like with hearing protection. I've been wanting a suppressor for my hunting rifles, this one will probably tip me over and make me finally get one.

Cool!
Maybe with all the folk using suppressors and all the talk about suppressors and Ruger even SELLING suppressors maybe, just maybe the hearing protection act will pass and we won't need to get the $200 stamp to buy one anymore. Kind of feel bad for everybody that bought one recently if they actually do get rid of the stamp.

Nope, no 20 round magazine. Not that I'd want one anyway I shouldn't need more than five shots anyway. However, since I'm in the Army Reserves I can still buy 20+ round magazines, even then I can buy parts kits and still have 20+ round magazines.

I have one in Remington 700. It's favorite bullet to punch paper is a powder coated hard cast spritzer. Can't figure that one out.

Set up a 12X12 plate at 300 today and tried the BDC Reticle out. First group on steel was a little high.

Adjusted down and held on the 297 yard hash mark acoording to Nikon's ballistic App, a bit happier where the bullets were hitting. I need to shoot the ammo across a chrony to get it dialed in better. The P-300 scope sucks for precision aiming, it covers a lot of target.
