My Howa 1500 has one of their Thumbhole Varminter stocks; it is not only super comfortable but also beautiful. I noticed they have a Thumbhole available for the Savage rifles plus several others. Boyds has a reputation for quality.
My first stop would be B&C. they offer good stocks at a fraction the cost of anywhere else, so IF you don't like the way it works out, you won't be out too much money.
