Gun locks not fail-safe, nor is legislation

Washington's left-leaning bureaucrats and gun rights opponents recoiled in enlightened dread last week when they learned that most trigger locks can be easily defeated. "Oh, the horror!" they cried. "What fresh hell has the firearms industry brought on the nation?"
Excuse the sarcasm in light of the Consumer Product Safety Commission's findings that most trigger locks aren't worth the plastic wrapping they come in, but experienced gun owners have been warning about this since the first cable lock was threaded through an open chamber.
