Good .22 with peeps.

I want to get a decent-quality .22 for target practice, some small game, just an all-purpose little gun. I've been leaning toward a CZ 452 M2E LUX just from what I've read here and a couple other forums. The one thing I want to do is put a peep sight on it. So if the 452 is as good as I've heard, and fitting an aperture isn't either an impossible amateur job or an expensive smithy job, let me know.

Does the CZ 452 M2E LUX have a grooved receiver like most .22's? Williams Gun Sights makes a couple of peeps, FP-AG for high line of sight, FP-GR for low line of sight. Both just grip the dovetail grooves.

Regards.

Just a suggestion.

If your hearts not set on a new rifle, I'd recommend looking for one of the old Winchester bolt actions. Models 52, 69, or 75. These rifles if not abused will shoot with anything made today. Just about all came with a peep sight standard.
If your on a tight budget used Mossberg .22s are pretty common and darn good shooters. These can be found in good condition in the $100 range.
Take Care
