Glock Carbine Kit - any first-hand experience?

Has anyone already tested the CAA Tactical Glock Carbine Kit?

Apart from a general opinion on this stuff I particularly wonder whether there is any kind of sealing between the outer housing and the Glock's slide (which seems hard to achieve since the slide has to move...)? I fancy it's not quite comfortable when part of the muzzle blast comes back to you through the gap between the pistol and the frame of the kit...?

if you check out the forum on the page you an get an idea of cost and issues people have had

I have never seen either in use, but I like pistol carbines a lot, and have been tempted to buy a shot out glock just t build one, they look pretty awesome

And the money they want for either of them would get you a good part of the way to a KT Sub-2000.
