Glock 20, my old friend.

Here I was going through my monthly check of my collection and my G20 is sitting at the back of my cabinet. Well it's been a bit since I last took it out, so, packed the gear bag of hit the range.

After the first magazine I remembered why I got it. Love the way it shoots. 10mm loads will attract attention with the muzzle blast and all. But the accuracy was there as well. Even with the shooting drills from work (LEO). Went through the fifteen round mags faster than I thought. And the range was out of 10mm for sale.

Good thing I kept a box of Hornady at home. Now my dilemma is whether to switch out my G41 for the G20 as primary home defense. May all my problems be this hard.

ammo

You need another source of ammo. Heck, owning a 10mm would be a great reason to fund a reloading rig. You could get into a single stage cheaper than you might think. A set of Lee dippers, instead of a scale or measure, would save more money too. I loaded for years on a dipper set. Not that hard, heck, if I can learn it, most folks can.

I can't imagine buying 10mm ammo in much quantity!!!!!!

My early G20 has been reliable, and is surprisingly accurate. I've made some shots afield that seemed pretty lucky, and I chalk it up to the G20 intrinsic accuracy.

I am a bit of a 10mm fan but not a Glock "fanboy". My glock 20 is my favorite 10mm even though the trigger isn't the best. I reload from mild to hot and my 20 feeds them all with great accuracy and seems to produce less felt recoil. I carry it regularly.

I love my Glock 20sf as well. Shoots true, accurate, and alot softer than i had imagined it wouldve. I mainly bought mine to drop a LWD 9x25dillon bbl in which is also fun, but the 10mm has captured me in the process. My FN 40s&w has been very lonely ever since because i really have no need for it. I can just shoot the watered down 10mm they sale on the shelf if i want a 40s&w. The FNX fits my hand so she stays clocked in as a HD gun upstairs while the Glock 20sf gets to go to the range pretty often.

My only beef is mags are hard to find. Ive searched and all are outa stock of the 15rnders.

I don't have better idea on Glock 20sf. Because I am totally new shooter and just started. So looking to buy a new one which one will be reliable and comfortable for a newbie. :)

G20SF here, with 9" Lone Wolf barrel.
5 mags...all with the +2 extenders for 17+1 benefits. 4 years using 'em. No issues.

Best Hog Hunting Pistol Ever :D

And yeah, it's almost a requirement to reload, but I was already reloading due to
being in SASS, which meant a TON of .44spl ammo to make every month...
so adding 10mm wasn't difficult. And you truly do get the Best out of 10mm
when you load your own...but BE PARANOID when you do it.
If you aren't using the US Army Marksmanship Unit's reloading techniques,
it's time to question your techniques. :D

SigSauer makes some decent off-the-shelf 10mm ammo. So does Armscor,
in fact, the Armscor stuff is on sale for like $15-17 a box all over the place.
Good range fodder :)

I have a gen2 g20 myself. It used to live in my speedvault but I replaced it as 10mm seems a bit overkill for home defense. But I do sometimes CC it at places like soccer fields, etc. I should replace that barrel as I had a kb out of it back arround 1999-2000 or so.
