Glock 17 (Gen2) trigger failure

Haven't fired it in a while, but moving a few things around, I like to cycle and dry fire. Trigger does not set or reset after racking the slide; stays back.
Any ideas what might have happened sitting lonely in the safe or what to look for as far something broken?
TIA

Also,
Check the trigger spring to determine if one of the ends have broken off; and if not, if the trigger spring is properly hooked to the bottom of the trigger bar (not off to the side of the trigger-bar). This applies to a standard coiled trigger spring; not a New York variant (as in a NY1 or NY2 trigger spring).

Good luck and let us know what you find out to be the problem.

Yup, sounds like a broken trigger spring. They are not hard to replace.

In the interim, if you keep the trigger pressed while you work the slide, the trigger should reset. In a pinch, you can fire a shot, hold the trigger and rack the slide, fire another one, and repeat as necessary. You'll be ejecting a live round every time you run the slide, but at least you can get off some shots if you have to.
