Getting into Shotguns

I am planning on a 12 gauge pump. I have been looking at the Maverick and the H&R Pardner. Anyone have a take on the Maverick? I know its a Mossburg brand.

the Mossberg Maverick Model 88 is an awesome pump that was my first 12 gauge I had it for 8 years never had a problem with it very reliable used it for bird hunting and skeet shooting could pretty much keep up with anyone with an auto but I have retired it and now i have a stoeger m2000 max 4 sa 12 gauge.
