Getting a newspaper's attention

If you really want to hurt a newspaper (or magazine) forget about writing to the editors--they count each piece of correspondence as positive feedback that they are reaching readers. They will actually be able to use your negative email as a statistic to justify their job to their employer.

Instead, hit the advertisers--HARD!

Call and write each advertiser and state that since they are advertising in a newspaper that attacks your constitutional rights, you will no longer do business with them until they pull their advertising from the paper and notify you in writing.

Tell them briefly what the paper has done and mention that you will be using the internet to disseminate information regarding their advertising affiliation with the paper.

For maximum effect, send a copy of all correspondence to the advertising director of the newspaper.

You gotta hit 'em in the wallet for it to hurt!
