Further silly question for Lee Loader users.

I know the whole point of these things is that, neck sizing only, you don't need lube.

That being said, would a thin smear hurt?

I always lubed. Did .38s/.357/9MM and a bunch of them. Still have the tools out in the shop someplace.

Enjoy,

I don't load rifle. But generally speaking, a little lube never hurts.

Applies to a lot of things, actually.

Technical in a Collet die (neck sizing only) you do not need lube, but it is not a bad idea just to be on the safe side that the case does not get stuck (big pain).

For regular full length resizing dies, yes you need lube.

Thanks.

Am very familiar with the full length resizing routine; just wanted to know if it wouldn't hurt to also make things a bit slicker with the old whack-a-mole. Will doubtless be going to a proper press-mounted collet die later, but for now the whack-a-mole does the job just fine.

I allways lube, no matter what... I just hate digging out the drill to remove a really stuck case..... A bit of lube can never hurt, only help.
