Free Floating forend for an AR-15

Im looking for the round free floating fore grip (preferably aluminum) that doesn't require the front sight to be removed. I dont think I could afford to have it done anyway.

During my searches, the only one I could find was for a 16" bbl. I have a 20" bbl so this would not work.

Any and all info/help is great appreciated.

1. Brownells has a selection of tube foreends.
2. That front sight has to come off to install. It is not a big job for somebody with the tools and knowhow and should not add a lot to the cost.

The forend would need to be a larger diameter than the front sight assembly. They don't come that big.

All you really need to remove the barrel is the AR Armorers/Barrel Wrench(about $35).

First) Remove the handguard and gas tube(requires punch).

2) Loosen barrel with barrel wrench

3) Drift out the sight pins to remove the front sight assembly.

Now you can slide off the old barrel nut and relace it with the free floated assembly.

You will also need to barrow a torque wrench to fit into the special cutout of the AR Armorers wrench.

If you dicide to attempt this I can give you detailed tightening insructions later.

The entire job is actually pretty simple.
