I have a Model 5 .22LR and the 5 shot mag has always been a bear to load plus I could only get 4 shells loaded - never 5. I took it apart and put the body and upper follower in my Thumler rock tumbler with about a pound of SS media for about an hour. It lightened it up some so I put a bit of blueing on it, dried it off, added a couple drops of Slik 2000, and reassembled it.
Evidently it knocked off all the burrs as it operates smooth as butter now and I can load 5 shells into it.
