You could volunteer on the Lady Washington....

...in Gray's Harbor. She mounts some 2-or-3- pound black powder cannon and 2 .75 caliber 'rail guns'--swivel guns mounted on the taffrail. Her companion ship the Hawaiian Chieftain has 4 3-pound Verbruugens that let out an awful yell. I was the first person to fire 'live' rounds from them (2-pound salmon weights), back in 2001. Big fun!!

And you get to go sailing at the same time!
