for the S&W fans

If you want it, dicker. They made 10k of them, so it is not a really rare gun, though nice to have. I would offer $750 and see what happens.

It may sit there for a long while at that price. Commemorative S&Ws aren't really sought after by Smith fans.

I have almost the exact same gun, great shooter. I paid about $700 a few years ago for a 95% gun, and I wanted a shooter.

Yeah, unless you just want an investment that may appreciate in value, I have little use for a gun that can't be fired

I have looked at several of those and almost bought one. The problem I have is, even though I have some guns I do not shoot, I do not buy with the intention of not shooting them. The other problem with most things made with the intention of being collectable is that they end up not being very collectable. They do not tend to increase in value because even though a limited number were made that number never goes down. Most of them are still sitting around in their box in unfired condition.
