Just received my Feb 2010 edition of Combat Handguns magazine. Sitting down for the evening to read, the first review that caught my attention was the FNH Five-seveN ODG 5.7X28. The review was very interesting.

Their conclusion: As a self-defense pistol the Five-seveN is easy to carry, very accurate, low to no recoil, great capacity & is very reliable. Price $1181

Do any of the members have one or had the opportunity to fire one?

I had one of the early IOM versions with the rounded trigger guards. It was fun to shoot, very light and had a nice single-action trigger. 20-rounds in the mag were a big plus.

Very well made, accurate and easy to use. Ammo is plentiful, runs about $20 a box, less in bulk. As much as I like the pistol, I'm not sure I'd pay $1181. I paid a lot less, $700... my advise would be to shop around a bit for a better deal.
