FM Browning High Power Opinions

My local dealer has a FM "High Power" on his shelf for a while now for $349 (California). It's not selling because it's right next to Browing HPs selling for $649, is my guess. My question is, is $349 too much to pay for an Argentinian copy? Are these guns decent quality shooters?

The gun is marked "Armscorp" and "Made in Argentina" on the slide. It's blue and you can see quite a few machine marks on the slide and frame. The bluing is a matte blue and lacks the lustre of the Brownings. It's SA only, and with the hammer cocked the slide is pretty loose (think G.I. 1911 loose) but with the hammer down it's tight. Compared to the Browning it looks like a rough knock off, which is why I'm asking about the price & quality.

Thanks,

Since CDNN is selling FN HPs for $399, I'd go with that. You should be able to get out the door for less than $500, and I think that extra $100 would be well spent.

The FMs are good, but the original will always be the best value.
