Mossberg 835 with federal #5 copper plated premium with Pattermaster Choke.
This weapon and load have never missed.

April 11 is the first day,designated as a youth hunter only day. April 13 is the start of spring season for the adult hunters here in NJ. i'm still shooting for a good kill shot spread for the turkeys. hoping to go this season,works put a hamper on it the last 4 years.

Our season(Mississippi) starts march 15th...unless that is a sunday and then it starts on the 14th. Youth season is one week before regular season. Season ends May 3rd this year.
Got some pics on brothers camera but can't get them right now.
Don't get another chance until Saturday.

season update

Second bird of season.
This bird was also killed very close to 3:10 pm.
Shot this one at 37 to 40 yards with tc Encore 3.5" 12 gauge #5 copper plated lead shot. It was 9.25" beard and less than one inch spurs. It was a two year old bird.
