Well, this has been a long time coming - Never thought I'd own an AR-15! Am loving it and having lots of fun. The hardest part about doing this was to make sure it was compliant with stupid NYS laws. For example, Can't use a collapsable stock so had to go with standard A2. Also, No bayonette lug allowed and the flash hider had to be replaced with a muzzle brake. To make it even worse, I had to drill and pin the brake and then had to completely weld the brake to the barrel essenetially making it permanent. Oh yeah, won't even get into magazines and capacity allowed in NYS!
