FFL Question

Do you guys know this answer?? If I buy a long gun from a dealer (FFL) in NYS (not NYC), where I also live, can it be shipped directly to me or does it still need to go through my local FFL????? Thanks

It should go FFL to FFL. Since you brought it from a dealer, there needs to be a 4473 form filled out. The originating dealer will disposition it to the local FFL and that person will have you fill out the 4473 form and do the NICS check.

Good question. If you live in the same state as the FFL you still must have a face to face meeting or have it sent to a local dealer to fill out the federal paperwork.
