FFL in suburban Chicago?

I've looked at a couple of places that charge $50 for a transfer. $25 is the going rate around here. Anybody know a place, preferably near Oak Park?

I used FFL finder to locate places I'll be overcharged.

Here's a good guy (retired LEO) in a southern suburb that's not too far from Oak Park:

Location:

326 northridge Ave.
Bolingbrook, IL. 60440-2447

Don't know what he charges for transfers, but I've bought/sold through him.
I'm guessing the fee for any transfer near Oak Park (which borders Chicago) will be greater than $25. Neither place is "gun friendly", so there's not a lot of competing FFLs.

thanks, I'll drop him a line

Transfer fees add up quickly...I paid $25 getting it, plus sales tax (oh, excuse me, "use fee" because they can capture the transaction anyway). Then shipping twice, and FFL fee at the far end. That's a significant fraction of the weapon's cost.

Grumble. Here's to FTF!
