CMP just offered the remainder of the ammo produced for this year's national matches for sale. It was made for the matches by Federal. Some have said that is was basically their white box ammo.
I was going to buy some but the price ($450/1000 rounds - no shipping) and some comments in the Garand Forum at Dick Culver's page made me hesitate.
Does anyone know anything about this ammo? Pressure is supposed to be about 51-52,000 and velocity about 2910 fps. I have heard comments both good and bad about this ammo. Does anyone here have any experience with this, especially at the national matches?
