Favorite Rounds: AR Carbine

Yes I ran a search. Lots of interesting discussion, but it didn't answer my very simple questions: For a 16" AR-15, what is your favorite "bulk" (ie cheap) round. And what is your favorite hunting round? I am not a competition shooter, and my varmints will be within 300 yards. And if it were to come to that, I'd use the hunting round for defense. What are y'all shooting?

I run either Lake City or British Radway Green. Depends on your barrel twist. No steel cast crap goes through my rifles i.e.(Wolf).

It's a 1 in 9" twist, pretty standard.

I don't hunt with my AR. But I do shoot it a lot!

i reload so all my accurate shooting is with my stuff. just for shooting and having fun pmc bronze is really cheap and suprisingly accurate. my fav reloads are sierra 60gr. and sierra 69gr. both are very accurate, but the 60gr. seems to be a little more accurate, at least out of my rifle.
