I got my ER Shaw barrel today. I immediately swapped it out and ran to the range. So far I am VERY happy. I had some minor concerns about cycling in my mind as I was awaiting it's arrival. The barrel shot those fears out of the water. Works swimmingly and seems to be reasonably accurate. Here are some pics and vids from today:

The barrel is threaded (1/2 x 28 tpi Thread) and comes with a thread protector.

The current OAL is 30" on the nose.

I have a Hogue overmolded stock on the way. I ordered a standard barrel channel model for this barrel. Seeing it in this butler creek .920 stock, I am wondering if keeping it in this one would be better? It is free floated for the most part.

For what it's worth, I have a 10/22 cycling fine with a 5.5" threaded barrel on it. I have to use CCI ammo, but five cents a shot isn't too bad for what it is. :)

Wow, I'm kida surprised at how nice that group is on a short barrel like that.Very cool. Looks pretty darn neat too.Not my first choice to drop $200 on to SBR, but I'm fairly poor, so I will likely only ever sbr 1 or 2 guns ever,so....
but who cares what I would do anyways.
Looks cool, and sure seems to shoot pretty darn well.Cant say it wasnt money well spent based on that.

Oops, just noticed your in Canada. Thats right, you guy dont have the same silly SBR/SBS rules we do, right? That being the case, DEFINITELY a worthwhile modification!

Those are butler creek "Hot lips". 25 shot, "smoke" in color. I've never had a problem with them, 2 of them are 9 years old.

I got my PC receiver mount and VQ extended bolt handle. (Ordered from Hawktech, AWESOME people to deal with btw) I swapped the parts and took it to the range. I'm happy with this set up. Once sighted in, if I could see it, I could hit it. It was fun bouncing plastic bottles around the 100M line.

I need a new stock. Or paint this one? Hhmmm....
