EGW recoil assembly, officers model

do any of use the EGW assembly in your Colt officers model 1911, if you do is it easy to install and how well does it work?

Can you dinine "recoil assembly"?

Should be a
1)guide rod
2)spring
3)spring tube
4)bushing.

My Sprinfield Champion had a slightly different setup.
I changed mine over to the "military" style.
Factory guide rod
Wolffe spring
EGW "YOU LOSE" spring tube
Ed Brown bushing.
(Note, EGW bushing did work, but Ed Brown fit slightly better.)

That is essentially what i got rid of on my Champion.

I took the dual spring set up out of my LW Officers ACP and put in a Wilsons Flat wire.
Shoots all loads great. Zero problems.

I have the same set up by a different maker. These were very popular and common 20 years ago. They work well. Requires gunsmith installation.
