Easier model to care for?

I'm going to be getting a Remington home defender over the summer. Which of the two models they sell is easier to take apart and clean -- the standard four shot or six shot?

It's sort of six of one half a dozen of the other.

The only difference in disassemble is in how the barrel disassembly works.

On the standard length magazine, you simply unscrew the magazine cap and pull the barrel off.

On the extended version, you first remove a screw on the barrel clamp, then slide the clamp off the gun.

Unscrew the magazine extension and remove it and the magazine spring.

Unscrew the magazine extension coupling and remove the barrel.

This takes only a few seconds longer, and has one advantage.
Every time you remove the barrel, the magazine spring is also removed, so you can check the spring and the magazine tube for rust, fouling, or a weak spring.

On the standard magazine gun, you don't have to remove the magazine spring, which is faster, but you tend not to inspect the magazine assembly as often as you should.
