Why wonder when there's Google.
You cannot have in your possession any shotshell loaded with anything other than nontoxic shot approved by the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) when hunting any migratory game birds, except woodcock, on any land or waters of the state of Iowa. Nontoxic shot currently approved by the USFWS includes: steel, bismuth-tin, tungsten-bronze, tungsten-iron (two types), tungsten-matrix, tungsten-nickel-iron, tungsten-polymer, tungsten-tin-bismuth, tungstentin-iron, tungsten-iron-copper-nickel, and tungsten-tin-iron-nickel. For more information, go to http://www.fws.gov/migratorybirds/CurrentBirdIssues/nontoxic.htm

With the changes that take place every year in hunting laws it is very important to keep updated.
The only time you should be asking is when you do not understand what is printed. Picture yourself in front of the judge telling him you never read the laws:eek::eek::eek:(you should be.
You owe it to everyone, hunters and non-hunters, even anti-hunters to know the laws, not to forget the resource.

Someone else's opinion of the law is not always good sound advice;).
