Dual Recoil Spring Reliability

I am looking at getting the new Gen 4 Glock and I noticed that Glock has replaced the single recoil spring with a new dual spring. I know this works to reduce recoil, but I have read some that they aren't as reliable as single springs. Is this a myth or is there some truth to this? Thanks!

I know alot of people had issues with the 9MM Gen 4's initially due to the recoil spring assembly. Glock put out a new spring assembly and I believe this fixed the issues. I have a Gen 4 22 and haven't any problems.

The sub-compact models have had the dual spring assemblies since day one as far as I know and they seem to hold up well.

As for long term reliability, time will tell.

Gen4 Glock 19 Came with 03 spring, had problems loading the rounds(light target rounds, walmart brand ammo and pmc stuff) told Glock the problem. They sent a 04 spring and never looked back  Have no fear in buying a Glock.
