Drilling/Vierling sub caliber insert origin, Kreighoff?

Can anyone tell me if this .22 magnum 12 guage insert was original as a Krieghoff accessory or if it was original to a firearm from maker H. Burgsmuller & Sohne?
Or just an accessory sold alone?

I know that Krieghoff does/did offer subcaliber inserts like that but don't know why a Krieghoff accessory would be marked Burgsmuller. I figure it was either furnished with a Burgsmuller gun or sold as a separate item by them.

I have an email in to them since Thursday(because of pictures), but I figured I might get lucky here before they get a chance to respond. I've been told it's original Krieghoff accessory from the 60's, but I always thought differently(for the reason Jim Watson gave) so the US part of Krieghoff might have to figure it out. We'll see what they say when/if they get back to me.

Thr maker seems to be a machinery company at this point, not sure they can help at all...but .22 mag would be latter half of the century I think.

Burgsmuller & Sohne were making sporting guns since the early 19th century.

:) Sorry I misread your post as Burgsmuller & Sohne had always been a machine company
