I have a little "Made in Austria" .22 Short single shot boltaction with a split bridge receiver, a seperate rail mounted halfmoon extracter like the Polish Wz48 trainers and a seperate safety mounted behind the bolt . The bolt is an enclosed head design and cocks on closing the action.
This looks like some sort of Gallery gun, weighs only 4lbs, adjustable barrel mounted sights. The receiver has a Crowned Eagle logo with a circular shield with the letters 'TMH' within and the motto "TYROL" below.
I've never been able tofind any info on the rifle or the company... My best guess is it is from pre Nazi Austria after WWI.
Help! ;) :D

I've seen these rifles in bolt-action and semi-auto versions, and I think you've got the time-line pretty well correct. The bolt-action was called the "5022", and these were built by the "Tiroler Maschinenbau Hoizindustrie" (abbreviated as "TMH"); sorry I don't have any more than that, but I hope you'll be able to find out a little bit more.
