Dish washer tabs in case cleaner

Don't laugh till you have tried it.

A guy on another forum suggested using the little tabs you put in auto dishwashers to clean cases instead of soap and lemishine. I had a couple of hundred 6.5 Grendel and .223 cases to clean today and tried it in my Franklin rotary. Just a single Finish brand tab with pins, no Lemishine or other acid was used. At the end of two hours I opened the drum. Water was a dark green color and no suds at all. I drained it and filled the drum with hot water for the rinse. The water drained as clear as it went in on the first rinse. From appearances all the carbon and dirt etc was held suspended in the wash water and only a single rinse was required.

Cost is about 10 - 20 cents per tab but the hassle of rinsing three or four times to get all the soap and carbon out is gone.

I used to do exactly that. Deprime, into a bucket, then add very hot water, DW tab, and stir.
The FART and blue fart juice negated the need.
But you are right, those multiple rinses get old.
