Two Kel-Tec employees left to form a new venture. Think it will fly?

I like the idea but in this economy, not sure how far they will get off the ground.

There's been several posts on these new guns this week... the slide is like a glock with M&P scalloped serrations.

I think it's a neat design really, assuming they are not terribly expensive, but I would much rather see one in 9mm. I have no use for a .380 :-(

Patent pending and only prototypes right now.

ETA for initial delivery and distribution was 7-09 but evidently that has been pushed back.

Don't want Ruger stealing this idea too, before it is patented

in looks and that it is striker fire only.

It is a zero energy striker....whereas the Glock is partially cocked when in the loaded and in the ready position.

The DB380 requires a full pull of the trigger to cock the striker and release the firing pin.

I would assume that being zero energy it will reduce the likelihood and prevent the striker from AD in pocket carry.

Looks like they are going for $400ish on gunbroker. Can buy something that has been around longer and has had time to prove itself for that price.

If they can push out a product that has a quality finish they've got a chance. Every P3AT I've ever seen looks like the grip was molded from a mold that had been used way too much, gunk everywhere, not smooth, they "looked" like a piece of garbage. Not seeming to be a quality product, regardless of it was or wasnt, was what prompted to get the LCP.
