Describe and date M1A rifle

I am trying to locate a source to determine the born date and description of my M1A serial 084689 as released by the factory, it has all GI parts. Any suggestions?

Contact the factory that made it. The receiver wasn't made at a GI factory if its marked "M1A."

Hope it's not a stolen military M14 that some have bought not knowing.

The M1A is made by the civilian company Springfield Armory. Contact them about date of mfg.

As I understand it, the first several years of their production were new made recievers and all GI parts. As the GI parts supply dried up, they began making their own (or contracting for it to be done).
