Denel 115gr FMJ 9mm

I bought a case of it, and now I KNOW why it was cheap

It caused repeated failures to eject(stovepipes) in both a CZ-75 and a P7.;( These are two of thee most reliable 9mms on the planet, and NO other ammo was a problem. Now, I'm gonna have to buy a Wolff low-power spring just to be able to get any use out of it. Perhaps I just got a bum lot?

Hello, VictorLouis. I believe, but am not positive, that PMP and Denel are the same ammo. PMP is loaded light. I chronographed their 115 gr ball from a BHP and got about 1120 ft/sec average velocity. It worked OK in the HP, but did not work too well with a couple of my CZ-75 pistols for the same reasons you mention. It's accurate, but light.

Best.

They're made by the same company at least. I suppose it is possible that the DNL headstamp is made for military use (Nato specs), and thus hotter than the PMP stamped load?
