Date of manufacture for two Smiths?

and
S&W 13-1, S/N D786XXX

croyance - Could there be one X missing from the M36 ser #? I found J670001 thru J760000 produced in 1979-1980.

On the M13, D750001 thru D870000 produced 1975-1976.

All of the above info came from the Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson by Supica and Nahas. Hope it helps. Regards 18DAI.
