Dang-nabbet. Stripped screw.

I was changing the base on my PSS adding a Leupold Mk4, and over torqued the front screw, and i am sure its stripped (lost the thread). Any ideas of what happens now. what prolly gave first, the screw or the rifle housing? Awe Shux. If its the housing, any advice on retapping and going bigger, or is this a job for a gunsmith?

ah, relief. The screws are apparently much softer then the receiver, as only the screws stripped. I guess i will order some more. Anyone know how tight i should put these in?
