Damaged steel target

Quick question. I have a 3/8" steel handgun spinner target . For some reason I shot it with my 5.56 AR. It now has a nice big hole through it. Should I stop shooting it with my handguns?

I have a similar target. It has a a hole in it from a 150 grain soft point 30-30 round at 80 yards. It's since been shot a few hundred times with handgun rounds. I have shot FMJ 9mm at it too, no problems at all. Now, I'm not trying to suggest in any way, shape, or form that what I have done is completely safe and I do not recommend it in any way. I'm only sharing my experience, but I am not recommending it.

If you ever want one for long distance, just let me know. Foldable, Colapsable, durable and portable. Cabelas likes them enough that they are going to start buying them from me!

Really?

I've been using steel sawhorses exactly like that to hang my swingers for years...

Limited lifespan, though, since .30 cal FMJ misses put some pretty big holes in the steel...
