CZ P-01 or Beretta 92fs

My local gunshop has a CZ P-01 and a Beretta 92fs and I am trying to decide which one to buy. The size doesn't matter to me as this will be a plinker or HD gun. They both feel about the same also. Although I've never shot either, I have read good things about both. Any help in pointing my in the right derection would be appreciated. Thanks.

Both are excellent choices...

...but I would personally go with the CZ P01.

It's hard to beat the grip contour on the CZ, and the accessory rail on the
P01 is a definite plus if you plan to use the pistol for home defense.

In terms of reliability and durability, they are about equal.

I'm really surprised they feel the same to you. They are as different grip/ergonomic wise, as night and day.

I prefer the CZ, even though I have owned a 92.

The P-01 is a smaller, lighter version of the full-size 75B. There are a few other differences, but if it's not to be a carry gun, consider the 75. It has a steel frame, and the resulting heft makes for less felt recoil.

I used to plink at the indoor range I worked at with our rental 92, good gun, but a bit too wide in the grip. I carry a P01 every single day, great pistola for every use.

I own both and love each of them, although, the P-01 feels much better in the hand.

I'm a CZ guy. I had a 92, liked it, but the CZ just fits. However, there are a lot more aftermarket items for the 92 than the cz. Here's my CZ with my latest set of grips, put on today.

I own both currently a Beretta Inox Circa 2004 (before polymer) and the CZ P01. I like the Beretta a lot, but if i only could have one it would be the CZ. Beretta is really attractive, but doesn't fit my hand as well as the CZ. Either way don't think you'll be trading either off, they both fall into my keeper category.
