CZ 805 Bren/Scorpion for civilian markets?

I'm a huge CZ fanboy. I love me some Czech irons. Right now I've got the 75 BD and the 452 trainer.

I'd like to one day get into competing, but even if I didn't, I'd be looking to add a shotgun and a semi automatic rifle. I know the shotgun I want (also CZ) and given my love for the brand I would really love to add an 805 Bren. I've heard that the ATF is considering allowing them for import, but the process could take years.

I know they have the VZ 58, but it's not really the type of rifle I'm interested in. I want the quad rails, the quick barrel change functionality, etc. The Bren can also accept 6.8 mags without any modification and the bolt handle can be switched to the other side for left handed shooters like me!

I don't know that I'd use the scorpion for much, being in 9mm, but it's awesome to dream :D

WHat are the chances of these being cleared for import to the US?

Zero under current regulations.

CZ could conceivably:

1) Build the rifles in the US for sale here.

2) Ship parts kits here to be built with the required US parts to meet 922r.

3) Ship a "sporter" version here to be rebuilt into proper configuration.

If they can make the kits with proper compliant parts to SBR the pistol... Seems that getting the rifle version of the 805 should be possible.

If they bring it here as a rifle... I will buy one as fast as I am able.
