CZ 455 Varmint ... Oh Yeah!!

I was in the LGS last weekend while my wife was throwing a wedding shower at our house. Came across a gently used 455 Varmint for $350. It shoots like a house on fire with CCI SV. Curiously, it doesn't shoot any better than my 455 American, which is to say sub-half-inch at 50 yards.

What caliber is it?

It's a .22LR. I am mulling over a barrel in .17HMR. However, if I can tighten it up to 1/4 inch groups at 50 yards with a trigger job and bedding, I might just keep it in LR.
