Couple of ?s on the Marine mag

Hi all,

I may or may not send my Marine mag to Vang for the forcing cone work to help tighten up patterns (depending on how well I can get it to pattern with various loads. Someone had mentioned that the plate the bore as well as the rest of the gun... Is this true? I'm having a hard time trying to determine. If it is, do you think I would need to have it re plated.

Also, someone mentioned that they switched to an IC bore from the Cylinder bore... Do we know when this occurred? I don't have a gauge to measure. Mine has the plastic trigger house and key lock.

Any thoughts?

The bore absolutely is plated and any reaming will remove the plating; whether you replate it is up to you...I certainly would.
